Artisan Finder: on-demand marketplace for verified artisans

The problem
Finding a reliable plumber or electrician relies on word of mouth. The price comes after the job, quality is random and there is no recourse.

The solution
One core mechanism made clear on every screen: payment stays locked until the work is approved. Clients book, track the job, approve, rate it and get a 30-day guarantee.

Key features
Map search and artisan profiles with reviews
Time-slot booking and escrow payment
Job approval, payment release, disputes and guarantee
Artisan app (quotes, calendar, earnings) and back-office (verification, disputes, escrow)

Design process
Four phases: discovery (interviews, audit of the current service), definition (user flows, information architecture), design (UI, design system, prototype) and delivery (landing page, specs).

Design choices
Trust blue #1F4E8C as the main colour, orange #F28C28 reserved for actions and accents (never as text on light backgrounds), steel grey #5B6470 for neutrals. Escrow is visible everywhere: locked amount, status and approval button always in sight.

Landing page
A landing page presents the offer, shows the app and the back-office, and drives downloads.

Deliverables
iOS and Android mobile app
Web back-office
Landing page
Design system, Behance presentation and LinkedIn carousel

My role
User research and personas, user flows, information architecture, high-fidelity UI design, design system and interactive prototype in Figma. Screens are produced with a custom TypeScript Figma plugin driven by a UI kit, with accessibility checks: 4.5:1 contrast, 44 px touch targets, errors never conveyed by colour alone.
Unofficial portfolio concept, not commissioned by the organisations mentioned.
